Bhisho & Maitland Road (R63)
What actually happens
Fibre reaches the buildings, but files still travel on paper. “The system is down” is the sentence everyone knows.
Why people doubt it
A digital file can be seen by strangers, or quietly changed. Paper you can hold feels safer.
Where it could stick
An air-gapped box inside the building. The clerk finds a file in seconds. The paper stays where it is.
From the classroom
Ask the same of your file in Bhisho. A reference number on your own phone is evidence you hold yourself.
Imagine
What if “the system is down” stopped being the end of the conversation?
